FAR candles contain our own unique blend of coconut wax and organic soy wax. We add ready mixed phlalate and paraben free fragrance oils and a cotton wick – absolutely nothing else.
Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource that burns longer and cleaner than paraffin wax. It also has a wonderful scent throw. We add coconut wax as it enhances the finish and promotes a cleaner burn. Our coconut wax is derived from coconut oil that goes through a process of hydrogenation. The coconut wax does not smell of coconuts, it has a neutral, natural wax scent.
Yes. Our candles and fragrance oils are considered suitable for vegans.
Our candles contain fragrance oils, with the exception of our Lavender candle which contains an essential oil blend. We favour fragrance oils because they are better suited to candles and have a much stronger scent throw than essential oils. The flash point of essential oils is much lower than that of fragrance oils which means they tend to evaporate faster, with a much-reduced scent as they burn.
Candles made from natural coconut and soy wax do not have the same scent throw as paraffin wax candles. We use a high percentage of fine fragrance oils in our products for a serious scent. Our candles will scent a small to medium sized room. For larger rooms with high ceilings we recommend using 2 or more candles.
